When you order on mellow-home.com.au, we’ll process it within 1 business days. From there, delivery takes 3–7 business days for metro areas and up to 10 business days for regional spots. We’ll do our best to get your goodies to you as quickly as possible!

Don’t worry—If no one’s home, the courier may leave the item in a safe spot if it’s considered secure. If that’s not possible, a redelivery will usually be attempted the next business day, or you’ll be given the option to reschedule. Since most of our items are bulky, we recommend making sure someone is home to receive the delivery.

Yes! At checkout, you’ll see a field where you can leave delivery notes—like “leave by front door” or “gate code is 1234.” While we pass those on to the courier, final decisions (like safe access or weather protection) are up to them.

In Australia, our products come with guarantees that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If your product has a major failure, you’re entitled to a replacement or refund, along with compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If the goods fail to be of acceptable quality but don’t have a major failure, you're still entitled to have them repaired or replaced.
On top of your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, we also offer the following warranties:

While we can’t accept physically expanded mattresses back (they're just a little too big and squishy for return travel), we’ll guide you through a feel-good way to complete your return — by donating or responsibly disposing of it. Once you send us proof, we’ll get your refund sorted.

We love when a comfy mattress gets a second life! You can donate to a local non-profit like:

- Habitat for Humanity
- Red Cross
- Local shelters or churches
Just make sure to get a donation receipt or proof of drop-off. Then, send it to our team at support@mellow-home.com.au, and we’ll take care of the refund.

Can’t donate? No worries. You can dispose of your mattress through:
- Your local council’s bulk waste or recycling program
- A mattress recycling center
- A furniture pickup service in your area
We’ll need either:- A disposal receipt with the location’s name and contact info
- Or a photo of the mattress being picked up or dropped off
Email us at support@mellow-home.com.au with the proof, and we’ll get your refund rolling.🗑 Option 3: Last resort? Curbside
If all else fails and you need to place your mattress curbside or in a large bin, snap a photo of the mattress in its final resting place and send it to us.
We’ll still honour your return — promise.

We take your safety seriously! All of our mattresses undergo rigorous testing and meet the requirements of the Cigarette Smoldering Test (16 CFR Part 1632) and the Open Flame Test (1633-Federal flammability), ensuring they’re safe for your home.
And yes, our foam is CertiPUR-US® certified! That means our memory foam is made without harmful substances, so you can sleep soundly on the healthiest of materials. Here's what you can count on:

You’ll notice it start expanding right away after opening, but we recommend giving it up to 72 hours to settle completely. It’s usually sleep-ready within a few hours, but a bit of patience helps it reach full height and feel.

Absolutely! Every Mellow mattress comes with a free memory foam pillow and Tencel mattress protector — no extra cost, just extra comfort.

None of our mattress covers should be removed, and they are not washable.
Removing the mattress cover could void your warranty, so please always leave the cover on. There is a consumer label sewn into your mattress as a reminder not to remove the cover.

You may spot clean your Mellow mattress with a mild soap and clean towel. It is best not to drench the foam and always use a mattress protector to prevent any liquids from penetrating.

This mattress is expertly compressed and rolled into one box that ships straight to your door. Simply unbox, unroll and this mattress does the rest, expanding to its original shape within 72 hours.

The cooling technology in our Mellow mattress is designed to regulate temperature, not just cool you down. During warmer months, it helps dissipate excess body heat. In cooler seasons, it balances rather than exaggerates the cold — so you won’t feel chilled by the mattress.
Unlike active cooling systems, our foam doesn’t create a cold sensation on its own. It simply prevents overheating. That means in Winter, it works with your bedding and room temperature rather than against them. You’ll stay comfortable without losing warmth.
If you live in a particularly cold region, a cozy topper or thermal bedding can enhance insulation without interfering with the mattress’s performance.

Yes—but don’t stress. Most of our sofas and armchairs come flat-packed with easy instructions and the tools you need inside the box. Setup is straightforward and typically takes under 30 minutes. It’s a one-cup-of-coffee kind of job. Maybe two.

Our sofas and armchairs are made with tightly woven, durable fabric that stands up well to everyday use—including pets who think the furniture belongs to them (we get it). While they’re not officially classified as pet-proof, the upholstery is easy to clean and holds up nicely against light fur and the occasional paw print. Just a heads-up: no fabric is totally scratch-proof, so if your pet’s claws are sharp, we recommend using a throw or cover for added protection.

Each model has its own curated fabric selection—neutrals, textures, the occasional deep tone. We don’t do full custom upholstery (yet), but we’re always updating styles based on what people love most.

We use durable, easy-care upholstery fabrics designed to hold up to daily life—lounging, stretching, movie marathons. Light wrinkling or pilling can happen over time (as with most fabric furniture), but with regular fluffing and care, everything stays in great shape. As for fading? Keep it out of direct sunlight and you’ll be good.
